Bring Andrew home
Good neighbors help during times of need, and Joe and Berta Eugenio need it. This New Bedford family has had an impossible year.
Their 16-year-old son Andrew suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident almost a year ago, and he’s still got a long way to go in his recovery.
As he recovers, Couto Construction and many other great companies in the area are banding together to build an addition to the Eugenio home, something necessary for him to leave the rehabilitation center he’s at now.
I feel a special connection to the Eugenio family. Andrew was a great soccer player with the St. Michael Youth Soccer Club where my son Tristan also played. When we heard about Andrew’s accident and his recovery and the possibility he’d have to leave rehab for a long-term nursing home, it broke our hearts.
Right before the holidays, Eugenio family members and friends told us about the need for the addition and what they were organizing. We couldn’t be happier to be helping. We’re the general contractor on the project, and we’re framing the addition as well.
So many great companies are involved at no cost to the family, and that’s what it’s all about.
Among the donors to the home project are: ABC Supply Co.; Able Asphalt, A.H.
